Who we are

Luminaire Design Company is a lighting design firm specialising in everything from product design to lighting layouts.

Our story is one that many importers can relate to. I previously worked for a lighting assembly and manufacturing company that produced luminaires for the market. However, I faced significant challenges with the products we imported, which were plagued by two persistent issues:

• Inconsistency Across Batches: Minor variations from container to container led to frustration and assembly complications in the factory.
• Product Discontinuation: After our clients specified a product for their projects, we often encountered the issue of discontinuation due to global demand that our industry could not meet alone.

To address these challenges, we determined that the optimal solution was to design products over which we had complete control. Subsequently, we observed additional positive outcomes: products exclusively accessible to our company enhanced our brand identity. When the local market embraced these products, consumers could easily identify the manufacturing source, fostering ongoing business even after the product’s lifecycle had ended.

Our design principles are firmly rooted in the circular economy. We strongly believe that, at the end of their life, products should be capable of being refurbished, reused, or recycled. These attributes serve as powerful selling points that, in turn, will benefit future generations.
